Special Egg Fried Rice

What you need to get

  • 1 tray VeeTee Basmati Rice

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • ½ a red onion, sliced

  • ½ a red pepper, sliced

  • 1 handful of green peas

  • 3 spring onion bulbs, sliced

  • 5 green beans, sliced

  • ½ carrot, julienne sliced

  • 6 tsp light soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 2 tbsp rice wine vinegar

  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste


What you need to do

  1. Heat one tablespoon of oil in a pan/wok. When the oil is very hot, add the beaten eggs to the wok/frying pan, and cook for few minutes. Remove egg from wok and set aside.

  2. Microwave VeeTee Basmati rice according to instructions.

  3. Heat one tablespoon of sesame oil in the same pan/wok, then add the onion and stir fry for a few seconds, before adding all the vegetables together.

  4. Add the VeeTee rice to the pan/wok, then mix in all other remaining ingredients, along with the cooked egg.

  5. Mix, season to taste and serve hot.

  1. Love VeeTee. It’s the best. So I decided to go to the supermarket and buy the ingredients to make my own fried rice. I cannot believe it turned out great! I l had to leave out a couple of things and feared it wouldn’t be perfect. But it was so good – just like VeeTee!
