BBQ Rice Burritos

This tasty meal is easy to cook and is ready in no time at all. Anybody can make these tasty BBQ Rice Burritos using our easy VeeTee Heat & Eat rice, ready in just minutes. If you’re looking for a delicious meal that everyone will enjoy then look no further than our tasty burrito recipe. This delicious dish originates from Mexico and is often found in many Tex-Mex restaurants. It’s a tasty dish that you can customise yourself and add your own ingredients. If you don’t like your food too spicy then feel free to leave out the jalapeños. Replace with some chopped tomato or anything of your choice. The dish is a real crowd pleaser and perfect for the whole family.

What you need to get


  • 1 tray VeeTee Pilau Rice

  • 1 tbsp oil

  • 1 can of black beans

  • 200g tinned sweetcorn, drained

  • 4-5 jalapeño slices, chopped

  • 100g cheddar cheese, grated

  • ½ pepper, chopped

  • 1 medium onion, chopped

  • 10g fresh coriander, chopped

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • juice of half a lime

  • 8 flour tortillas

  • 4 tbsp BBQ Sauce

What you need to do


  1. Heat the oil in a large frying pan over a high heat then add the beans, sweetcorn, jalapenos, pepper, onion, coriander, lime juice and cumin, sauteeing for 3-4 minutes.

  2. Add the rice to the pan and stir-fry for 2 minutes until cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.

  3. To make the wraps, lay the tortillas flat on a plate then spread over half a tablespoon of BBQ sauce. Next, add the bean / rice mixture and 2 tablespoons cheese, leaving about 2-3 inches from the corners. Wrap the burrito by folding in the edges then rolling.

  4. Heat a heavy-based griddle pan, add 1 teaspoon oil and place the filled burritos on the griddle pan for 1-2 minutes on each side until they are golden and crispy.
