Warehouse Team Leader

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a proactive Warehouse Team Leader to lead daily warehouse operations and ensuring safe, efficient storage and movement of goods. This role includes managing stock returns, coordinating deliveries, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the Warehouse Supervisor as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• To ensure the products are stored and moved correctly, safely and in line with company standards.

• Maintain full warehouse utilisation by planning racking space and floor space, seeking advice from Operations or Supply Chain.

• Operate reach and counterbalance forklifts safely and efficiently to move, load, and store goods in accordance with company procedures and health & safety regulations.

• To manage stock returns into the warehouse, including documentation, QA clearance and liaising with Customer Service/Supply Chain to ensuring proper recording on the system.

• To ensure all incoming raw material is labelled correctly and relocated according to instruction from the Rice buying team.

• To always ensure the safety of oneself and others and adhere to good health and safety practice.

• Any other reasonable duties, responsibilities or requests that may be issued by management from time to time.

• Provide cover for the Warehouse Supervisor in their absence as required.

 Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• Previous experience within a Warehouse Supervisory/Team Leader role in a fast paced environment is essential.

• Knowledge and understanding of IT Stock Control systems and the importance of accurate record keeping.

• Counterbalance and High Reach forklift truck licences with substantial current and previous experience are essential.

• Good communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to communicate with people at all levels within the organisation.

• Good team working skills and the ability to delegate tasks.

• Excellent problem-solving skills.

• Can work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
