grains are short grain rice varieties suitable for making Spanish style paella dishes.

Paella rice types are similar to risotto rice varieties in that they remain soft on the outside when cooked, but unlike risotto grains, retain a firmer centre after cooking and are less creamy. Paella rice is also highly absorbent, perfect for soaking up the delicious abundance of flavours in your paella.

The Bomba variety is considered to be the “king of paella rice” due to its firmer texture, highly absorbent properties and ability to remain separate and not sticky.
