Veetee Supreme Brown Basmati 2kg block bottom

Veetee Supreme Brown Basmati Rice is the perfect accompaniment to your meals, from curries to stir-fries. 

Using the same grain as goes into our Veetee Supreme Basmati range, brown Basmati rice only has the outer bran layer removed, creating a nuttier and more nutritious rice grain. 

Whilst it takes a little longer to cook compared with white rice, brown Basmati has a richer flavour. A 2kg block bottom pack will make 33 servings. 

Milled and packed in the UK.

Store in a cool, dry place.

Ingredients

100% Brown Basmati Rice.

How to cook

On the Hob: Allow 75g (2oz) of rice per person.

1. Rinse 75g (3oz) rice per person and add 250ml of cold water into a large saucepan.
2. Add salt if desired, bring to the boil stir once and cover. Reduce heat and simmer gently until all the water is absorbed (20-22 minutes).
3. Fluff with a fork and serve.

In the Microwave: Allow 60g (2oz) of rice per person.

1. Rinse 75g (3oz) rice per person and 250ml of cold water into a large microwaveable container. Add salt if desired.
2. Cover and vent. Cook on full power (650w) for 18 minutes and leave to stand for 5 minutes.
3. Drain, fluff with a fork and serve.


Microwave ovens vary, adjust cooking times accordingly.
