Veetee Easy Cook Long Grain rice (also known as par-boiled rice) is carefully pre-steamed prior to being packaged. This gelatinises the starch, creating a much firmer rice grain that doesn't become stodgy when cooked.

Veetee Easy Cook Long Grain rice is a foolproof rice for less confident cooks or for those that want firmer, more separate rice grains guaranteed.

How to cook

On the Hob: Allow 75g (2oz) of rice per person.
1. Place 75g of rice per person into a large saucepan of boiling water.
2. Add salt if desired. Bring to the boil. Cover then simmer for 12-15 minutes.
3. Remove from heat. Drain, fluff with a fork and serve.  

In the Microwave: Allow 75g (2oz) of rice per person.
1. Add 75g of rice per person to a large non-metallic bowl, with 250ml of boiling water. Cover with microwave film and pierce.
2. Cook on full power for 81/2 minutes. then stand for 4 minutes.
3. Drain in a sieve and serve.

Microwave ovens vary, adjust cooking times accordingly
