Project Engineering Manager

Job purpose:

We are looking for a Project Engineering Manager to join the company on a 12 month fixed term contract to manage the installation and commission of a new process and packaging line and extension of utility for the new line.

Responsibilities:

• To manage capital projects from concept to completion and provide clear direction and strong leadership.

• To Maintain all project layouts, machine and building drawings.

• To support a culture that ensures continuous improvement and strives for excellence.

• Introducing improvements to existing processes and techniques to minimise threat to productivity (feedback to design).

• Purchasing, cost and supplier management for projects.

• Equipment and materials management for projects.

• Actively driving hygiene and health and safety throughout the team and contractors.

• To promote and comply with legislative and business compliance standards including health and safety, environmental and technical.

• Responsibility for the Health and Safety of all staff in direct or indirect control.

• To maintain project charter in order to hit all the milestone.

• Any other reasonable duties, responsibility or requests that may be issued by Management from time to time.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• Proven experience in engineering project management.

• Hands on AutoCAD experience is essential.

• Mechanical or electrical experience within a food manufacturing environment and complex plant.

• Strong experience and knowledge of plant utilities, industrial services compliances, process control and project management.

• Continuous improvement and lean manufacturing background.

• Preferably degree educated (or equivalent) within engineering.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including negotiating and influencing.

• Trouble-shooter and creative problem solver.

• Commercial acumen and excellent IT skills.

Shift Pattern:

• Monday - Friday (Based on site)
