Responsible for developing Veetee’s expertise in eCommerce, increasing sales and profit from both retailer eCommerce and Veetee’s D2C platforms, and working cross- functionally with the Marketing and Sales teams to maximise online brand communication opportunities.
Proactively build & maintain an extensive multi-layered contact base within our e-commerce retailer network across the UK Market, including the retailer eCommerce media agencies.
Manage the relationship with the eCommerce Retail contacts to ensure that basics are implemented brilliantly in order to maximise Sales & ROI. Including recommendations for Taxonomy, Brand bank images, product descriptions and online search terms to drive further improvements for the user/shopper experience.
Proactively feed into the Brand Plan development process ensuring the over- arching campaign messages can be translated and communicated ‘through the line’ in order to drive consistency and maximise performance.
Proactively recommend and develop both the strategic and tactical activities to push the boundaries of our presence on eCommerce and D2C (including external linking to branded digital content and new eCommerce technology platforms etc).
Take on the role of e-buddy to help educate and inform the marketing team about eCommerce and the opportunities to increase our brand presence including, but not limited to, optimising NPD launches and pack copy (to improve search results).
Own Veetee’s Direct to Consumer website to optimise sales, run test and learn activity across both price/promotion and marketing messages, and apply best practise across both D2C and retailer eCommerce platforms with a ‘continuous learning’ mentality.
Provide ongoing category performance tracking for the eCommerce sector (e.g. monthly dashboard) and specific retailers and lead the communication of this, along with implications and recommendations, internally and externally.
Be the eyes and ears of the company with developments in the wider eCommerce sector, recommending key opportunities the business should invest in, potentially utilising a test and learn approach where applicable.
Manage and maintain accurate budget-reporting.
Working alongside the marketing team, you will be expected to assist and take on
some responsibilities for the delivery of activation plans aligned with on-line activity.
You will be expected to travel within the UK to meet retailer contacts as and when required by the role.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required:
Ability to work both independently and proactively as a team member, to bring the
online agenda in to the wider team.
Self-motivated individual with a strong desire to succeed in the eCommerce world.
Creative and open to new ideas and technology platforms
Excellent communication skills.
Intellectual horsepower to turn data and analytics into insightful recommendations
Strong IT and numerical skills, particularly in MS office and Excel.
An effective project manager with great organisational skills, with an ability to
meet timelines in a disciplined manner.
Familiar with the use of continuous data (EPOS & Panel data) with the intellectual horsepower to turn data and analytics into insightful recommendations to improve commercial performance.
Key Knowledge and Experience:
Experience of working within FMCG business highly desirable.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience of operating in an eCommerce environment with
pure-play and grocery.com customers.
Experience of managing a Direct to Consumer sales website highly desirable.
Sales and/or Category experience desirable
